Discover Xam Tang Lake at Nong Luong village

Go really of the beaten track from Mai Chau and visit some almost unexplored destinations. On the way to Xam Tang lake you see some beautiful scenery with rice terraces and villages.

Itinerary

After breakfast local guide will pick you up at your accommodation in Mai Chau and your tour will start.

You will go over the Thung Khe Pass and drive towards the Nong Luong village, the village of Muong and the Thai people. As driving over the mountains, you will stop at a number of viewpoints to overlook breathtaking views, rice terraces and farmhouses scattered in the landscape.

You will continue your way towards Xam Tang lake and enjoy the unique way there. As you arrive you will get off the transport and make a small trekking around the lake through the corn fields and other farms carefully arranged on the hills. When you reach the observation point you will be able to see the the surface of the water with reflection of green mountains, sky and clouds.

On the lakeside you will stop for a picnic with local snacks and tea.

After an hour or so you go back to your accommodation in Mai Chau. On the way back there is a stop at Mai Chau viewpoint to see Mai Chau valley.
