Your 2-day Mekong Delta tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel in the center of Ho Chi Minh City to head for Cai Be, located in the Mekong Delta. The drive will take about 2 hours and you stop on the way at the first chocolate factory in South Vietnam. Here you can see how they make chocolate and taste it(!)
Stopping at Vinh Trang pagoda on the way. Take your time to look around and stretch your legs. It is the largest temple in Tien Hiang province and has numerous structures and statues to see.
Afternoon
Enjoy lunch before sailing to Vinh Long to discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical rural life of the Mekong Delta.
At the end of the afternoon you will go to Can Tho. Here you have the night free to discover Can Tho.

After breakfast in your hotel or homestay you are going to the highlight of this Mekong Delta tour for many travelers, namely the Cai Rang floating market.
Many boats come together here to buy and sell. Goods are moved from one boat to another and then brought to markets and cities. There are also smaller boats where you can order some fruit, coffee or pho yourself.
After the exhilarating boat ride at the Cai Rang floating market, you’ll make a stop at a nearby village and local market. Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and observe the daily lives of the locals.
As you make your way back to Ho Chi Minh City, stop at a local restaurant for lunch.
Your 2-day journey through the Mekong Delta will end with a drop off at your hotel back in Ho Chi Minh City.

FAQ
Can you also do Cai Rang floating market tour in 1 day?
No, unfortunately it is not possible to visit Cai Rang floating market in a 1-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City. The market is only held in the morning and due to the distance from Ho Chi Minh City it is not possible to get there on time.
Can I bring all my luggage?
It is possible to bring all your luggage, however it is recommended for easier traveling to only bring a bag with things you need for 2 days and overnight stay and leave the rest in the hotel if you choose to return their again after the trip.
Is the Cai Rang floating market still great to visit?
Due to the construction of roads, more and more goods are transported by truck and less by rivers. Unfortunately, this also means that there are fewer boats on the market than, for example, 10 years ago. However, there are still enough boats left to form a great market and this tour is much more than just a visit to Cai Rang floating market.
