Climbing tours in Vietnam

Vietnam is one of the new hotspots of climbing in Asia. You can do rock climbing, deep water soloing and normal climbing in Vietnam. Even though rock climbing in Vietnam is very new, there are so many possibilities with every year new climbing routes.

The most popular rock climbing destination in Vietnam is Halong Bay. Halong Bay, together with Cat Ba, the biggest island in the bay, have together thousands of rocks and islands rising out of the water. There are lots of places to do climbing here. You don’t need to be experienced. There are routes for both beginners and advanced climbers.

Other climbing in Vietnam can be done in Mai Chau, the Marble Mountains near Hoi An, and in Dalat. It is a great opportunity to explore the area in an adventurous way. On top of the mountain or rock that you are climbing you often have great views over the area.

Deep-water solo, also known as psicobloc, is a form of solo rock climbing that relies solely on the presence of water at the foot of a climb. Meaning you climb without ropes and when you fall, you land in the water. Deep-water solo can be done in Halong Bay.
