Rainbow Slide Dalat – viral attraction in the hills
The rainbow slide in Dalat is a dry slide where you sit in an inflatable tube and slide down a long, colorful track built on a hillside. It became popular mainly through social media, and many travelers now visit after seeing it online.

Most of these slides are not standalone attractions but part of larger places with other activities, with the most well-known one located inside Mongo Land. It is also worth knowing that there is not just one rainbow slide in Dalat, as several places have created similar versions, so the experience can vary depending on where you go.

The Rainbow Slide
The rainbow slide is simple, but it works. You sit in an inflatable tube, a staff member gives you a push, and you slide down a long, colorful track built on the hillside. The speed is moderate, not scary, but fast enough to make it fun, even for adults.

At the bottom, you do not have to bring the tupe back up. There is a system to bring the tube back to the top, so you can go again without effort. Multiple people can slide at the same time, and in most cases, you can repeat the ride as many times as you want.

Queues depend a lot on timing. On weekdays, you often wait just a few minutes. On weekends or busy times, waiting can take anywhere from 15 minutes up to around an hour.
In terms of experience, it is honestly better than it looks online. It is fun, easy, and something a bit different. At the same time, it is still a very simple activity, so it is usually not worth going far just for this unless you are already nearby.
The rainbow slide works best for groups of friends, couples, and families. Backpackers also enjoy it as a quick and fun stop, especially when combined with other places around Da Lat.
Tip: combine rainbow slide Dalat with “Mario Kart” (luge)
If you go to the rainbow slide at Mongo Land, it is worth combining it with another popular activity on the same route: the so-called “Dalat Mario Kart.”

This is actually a downhill luge track where you drive a small cart down a paved track. It is part of Cao Nguyen Hoa Park and has become very popular on social media, even more than the rainbow slide.
The good thing is that you pass this area on the way to Mongo Land, so it is easy to visit both without extra travel time. Many travelers do the luge first, then continue to the rainbow slide, or the other way around.
If you want to make a short half-day trip out of it, this combination works really well. You get two fun activities in one outing, instead of going all the way out of the city just for a single slide.
Other rainbow slides in Dalat
After the success of Mongo Land, several other places in Da Lat added similar rainbow slides. The idea is the same, but the experience can be quite different depending on where you go.
1. Dapa Hill Dalat

Dapa Hill also has a rainbow slide and is usually less crowded than Mongo Land. The slide itself is fun and included in the ticket, and you can go multiple times.
One key difference is that you may need to walk back up after each ride, which can get tiring, especially in the heat. This makes it less comfortable compared to places where you are brought back up automatically.
There is also a small animal area with alpacas and goats, but reviews are mixed. Some visitors enjoyed it, while others were uncomfortable with how the animals are kept. The slide and views are generally liked, but overall quality and maintenance seem less consistent than at Mongo Land.
2. Dalat Wonderland

Dalat Wonderland is a larger park with more activities, including a rainbow slide. It is set near a lake, which gives it a nice setting, and you can combine the slide with things like ATV rides, boat trips, and other small attractions.
The slide is fun, but like Dapa Hill, you may need to walk back up if you want to go again. Most visitors spend around 1–2 hours here, and going early helps avoid crowds.
Reviews are quite mixed. Some people enjoy the variety of activities and friendly staff, especially families, while others feel the park is a bit run down and the activities are quite basic. Compared to Mongo Land, it is usually seen as less focused and sometimes more expensive for what you get.
Bonus: other rainbow slides in Vietnam
Rainbow slides are no longer unique to Da Lat. You can now find them in many tourist areas across Vietnam. There is one at the glass bridge in Moc Chau, and another well-known rainbow slide in Hanoi. These slides have become a trend, so you will likely come across them in different cities and parks around the country.
Is Rainbow Slide Dalat worth it?
Yes, if you are looking for something fun and a bit different, especially if you are already near Mongo Land. It is a light activity that does not take much time and works well as part of a relaxed outing.
It is not worth it if you expect something unique or impressive. The slide is fun, but simple, and probably not worth going out of your way just for this one activity. If you prefer nature, viewpoints, or cultural places, there are better options around Da Lat.
Overall, the rainbow slide is enjoyable, but basic. It works best as part of a half-day trip, not as a main highlight on its own.
