Itinerary

You’re picked up from your hotel in Phong Nha and transferred to Discovery Lodge. Here, you meet your guide for a short briefing, check your bike, and go over basic cycling rules for village roads. Once everything is set, the ride begins.

Leave Phong Nha town behind and cycle toward Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park. The route takes you past Ho Khanh’s house, where your guide shares the story of the man who discovered Son Doong Cave and his role in modern cave exploration in the area.

Cross the Son River by a small local boat run by Mr. Tham and his wife, who have been paddling this route since wartime. After landing, cycle through quiet villages, rice fields, and riverside paths. You’ll see how rice is grown, how fish are raised in the river, and how daily farming life continues much as it has for generations.

Continue cycling through the countryside, passing suspension bridges and local churches. You’ll also ride along a section of the original Ho Chi Minh Trail, once used to move soldiers and supplies during the war.
