Note:
There’s also an afternoon version of this tour available, which departs at 11:00 AM and returns around 5:00 PM. Let us know if you prefer that option.
Board a modern speedboat and cruise up the Saigon River. Within minutes, the urban skyline fades into lush riverside scenes of villages and nature. Enjoy a light breakfast of pastries or sandwiches, tropical fruits, and strong Vietnamese iced coffee as your guide shares stories about daily life along the riverbanks.
Wander through one of the most famous sites of the Vietnam War. You’ll see traps, weapons, secret entrances, underground bunkers, kitchens, and meeting rooms — and even crawl through a real section of tunnel if you want to experience it firsthand. You can also try the boiled cassava, a simple staple that once fueled the Viet Cong.
After your tunnel visit, relax by the river and enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch featuring fresh spring rolls, flavorful chicken and beef dishes, and soup. It’s a great moment to ask your guide more about local life and history.
At around 12:00 PM, say goodbye to Cu Chi and board the speedboat back to the city. Your driver will be waiting at the pier to take you back to your hotel by car — arriving by around 1:30 PM.
