Hotel pick-up and transfer
Your guide meets you at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City early in the morning. A private car takes you to Bach Dang Pier, where your speedboat awaits. No long car ride — the adventure begins on the river.

Speedboat ride to Cu Chi
Board a modern speedboat and cruise up the Saigon River. Within minutes, the urban skyline fades into lush riverside scenes of villages and nature. Enjoy a light breakfast of pastries or sandwiches, tropical fruits, and strong Vietnamese iced coffee as your guide shares stories about daily life along the riverbanks.

Early arrival at Cu Chi Tunnels
You’ll arrive well before the big bus tours. Start with a short introduction video that sets the scene with historic footage from the Vietnam War era.
9:00 AM :
Explore the Cu Chi Tunnels
Wander through one of the most famous sites of the Vietnam War. You’ll see traps, weapons, secret entrances, underground bunkers, kitchens, and meeting rooms — and even crawl through a real section of tunnel if you want to experience it firsthand. You can also try the boiled cassava, a simple staple that once fueled the Viet Cong.
11:15 AM :
Lunch by the river
After your tunnel visit, relax by the river and enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch featuring fresh spring rolls, flavorful chicken and beef dishes, and soup. It’s a great moment to ask your guide more about local life and history.
12:00 PM :
Return to Ho Chi Minh City
At around 12:00 PM, say goodbye to Cu Chi and board the speedboat back to the city. Your driver will be waiting at the pier to take you back to your hotel by car — arriving by around 1:30 PM.

Is pick-up available from all hotels in Ho Chi Minh City?
Pick-up is available from most centrally located hotels in District 1. If your hotel is further out, let us know in advance so we can arrange the transport or coordinate a nearby meeting point.

Yes, the Cu Chi site has a firing range where you can shoot real guns like AK-47s. It’s optional and requires an extra fee paid directly on-site.
Is the tour suitable for children or older travelers?
Yes. This tour is family-friendly and suitable for all ages. The speedboat ride is smooth, and walking at the tunnel site is flexible.
What happens in case of rain?
The tour runs rain or shine. The boat has a canopy, and light rain typically won’t affect the experience. We’ll contact you if extreme weather requires changes.
