Metro in Vietnam

Currently, Vietnam is in the process of developing metro systems in cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. These metro networks are expected to provide convenient and efficient transportation options, reducing traffic congestion and enhancing connectivity within the urban areas.

Metro in Hanoi

The Hanoi Metro system currently consists of two lines, with one line fully operational and the other line partially completed. The fully operational line spans 12 stations.

The metro network in Hanoi is part of a larger plan that includes the development of eight lines, although the completion dates for the remaining lines are yet to be determined.

Tickets for the Hanoi Metro can be purchased at the terminal from ticket offices or vending machines. One-way ticket prices range from 8,000 VND to 15,000 VND, depending on the distance traveled, while day tickets are available for 30,000 VND per day. Monthly tickets can be purchased for 200,000 VND per month. For more information, you can check the official website of the Hanoi Metro at http://hanoimetro.net.vn/

Metro in Ho Chi Minh City

The metro system in Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, is currently under construction and has not yet officially opened. However, the first line of the metro is nearing completion and will bring a significant transformation to the city’s transportation infrastructure. This initial line, which includes metro stations in the city center, is highly anticipated as it will provide a much-needed solution to the city’s congestion and offer a convenient mode of travel for both locals and tourists once it officially begins operations.
