Hike along narrow ridgelines, pass through misty ancient forests, and camp overnight on mountain slopes with no electricity or phone signal — just you and nature. The route includes famous landmarks like Turtle Head Rock and the Dinosaur Backbone, plus a sunrise summit of Ta Xua Peak. With local porters, hearty meals, and even a relaxing hot spring to finish, this is a raw but rewarding experience for true trekkers.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi between 6:00 and 7:00 PM. If you’re arriving at the airport, just let us know your landing time in advance. From there, it’s a roughly 5.5-hour drive northwest to the remote mountain district of Tram Tau.
You’ll arrive in Tram Tau around 11:30 PM and check in to a simple local homestay or resort, depending on your booking request. Get some rest before the big trek begins.
After taking in the views, descend the same route back to the campsite. You’ll arrive by mid-afternoon with time to relax and enjoy the scenery.
If you’re lucky, catch the sunset and a sea of clouds right from the hut. Your porters will cook a wood-fired dinner, and you’ll spend the evening by the campfire learning basic camping skills, stargazing, and reconnecting with nature — far from city lights and Wi-Fi.
At around 3:00 PM, the car picks you up for the return journey to Hanoi. You’ll arrive in the city around 8:00 PM and be dropped off at your hotel — tired, muddy, and hopefully smiling.
This is a challenging trek with steep, muddy trails and narrow ridgelines. It’s best suited for travelers with a good level of fitness and some hiking experience. It’s not recommended for beginners.
Light rain is common and won’t stop the trek, but trails can become slippery. We recommend wearing proper hiking shoes and bringing a waterproof jacket. In case of severe weather, we’ll assess conditions and adjust the plan if needed.
You’ll stay in a basic mountain hut or tent at the campsite. There’s no electricity, running water, or phone signal — just sleeping bags, shared space, and a truly off-grid experience. The first and last nights are in a local homestay or resort in Tram Tau.
No — your main luggage can be left in Hanoi or at the base in Tram Tau. You only need to carry a small backpack with personal items. Our porters handle food, water, and group camping equipment.
es, we can arrange vegetarian or allergy-friendly meals if you let us know in advance. Meals are simple but hearty, made with local ingredients by your porter team.
This tour requires a minimum of 2 participants. If you're traveling solo, contact us — we may be able to match you with another group or arrange a private option at a custom rate.
