After breakfast, you’ll be transferred by car from Tram Tau town to Ban Cong commune, located about 7 km from the center. From there, hop on a motorbike for a short but bumpy ride along a muddy trail to reach the starting point of the trek. At the porter’s house, your local team will pack supplies and get you ready to begin the hike.
After completing about 7 km of trekking (roughly 6 hours), you’ll arrive at a simple mountain hut where you’ll spend the night. It’s basic, but there’s a cozy atmosphere in the middle of the forest. Your porter will cook dinner while you relax, enjoy the jungle silence, and rest up for the big climb tomorrow.
Rise early in the dark for breakfast and gear up for a long but rewarding day. You’ll leave most gear at the hut and carry only essentials for the summit push.
Once back in Tram Tau, you can either rest overnight at a local homestay or continue directly to Hanoi — depending on your preference and energy levels.
The trek is considered challenging due to steep slopes, muddy trails, and long hiking days (up to 8–9 hours). You don’t need technical skills, but good fitness and some hiking experience will help. If you’re unsure, we can discuss how to adjust the pace or offer support options.
The tour operates in most weather conditions, including light rain. Trails can get slippery, so sturdy shoes and a waterproof jacket are essential. In case of severe weather, we’ll evaluate the situation and may adjust the route or delay the trip.
You’ll spend one night in a basic mountain hut with a roof and sleeping space for the group. It's simple but dry and clean, with sleeping mats and blankets provided.
Yes, many first-timers join this tour. It’s suitable if you’re in good health and open to a bit of challenge. Let us know your fitness level in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Mobile signal is very limited, and there is no Wi-Fi in the mountains. We recommend getting a Vietnamese SIM card for backup and letting others know you’ll be offline during the trek.
