Con Dao has a tropical island climate with warm temperatures all year, but conditions change clearly between the dry and rainy seasons. The driest months are usually from November to April, when seas are calmer and boat trips and beach time are more reliable. From May to October you can expect higher humidity, more rain and at times rougher sea conditions, especially during tropical depressions. Underwater visibility for diving and snorkeling is often best between March and July. For most private itineraries, the late dry season and early rainy season offer a good balance of stability and greenery.
