Itinerary

You’re picked up from your hotel in Phong Nha and driven to Moc Nam Base, the starting point for today’s adventure inside Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park.

8:00–8:30 AM :
Safety briefing and warm-up

Meet your guide for a short briefing about the route, safety rules, and regulations inside the national park. A light warm-up helps prepare your body before heading into the jungle.

Start trekking into the remote Abandoned Valley, hiking around 4 km through dense forest, rocky paths, and stream areas. Along the way, you’ll pass winding rivers and explore parts of the cave system hidden in the jungle, including Thuy Cung Cave and Hang Vang, known for its impressive stalactite formations.

After about an hour of trekking, you reach the Golden Cave area. The entrance sits halfway up the mountain, requiring a short rock climb before heading inside. Explore the cave’s massive stalactites and navigate rugged, uneven cave trails that add to the adventure.

Arrive at E Cave, one of the most pristine river caves in the park. Take time to swim in the clear blue natural springs, explore the cave’s colorful stalactites, and enjoy the calm, untouched surroundings. If conditions allow, you can optionally swim deeper into the cave to explore up to 300 meters of its underground river passage.

After swimming, enjoy warm tea followed by a local BBQ lunch in the forest. The meal includes grilled pork or chicken, rice or sticky rice, vegetables, fruit, and local dipping salt. Relax and recharge before the return trek.

Lunch

Begin trekking out of the forest, following jungle trails and rocky terrain back toward the Ho Chi Minh Road.

Arrive at the road and enjoy a cold drink before heading back to Phong Nha.

Drive back to Phong Nha and drop-off at your hotel, ending your full-day Phong Nha E Cave trekking tour.
