This riverside homestay offers a peaceful base right on the edge of a canal connected to the region’s famous floating markets. Rooms are modern and comfortable, each with a private bathroom for added convenience. Guests can enjoy local dishes at the small on-site restaurant, which overlooks the water and is run by a kind and welcoming host.
You can either take a public bus (self-arranged taxi to the bus station) or book a private transfer directly from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City to the homestay in Can Tho. The drive takes around 4 hours, passing through the ever-changing landscapes of the Mekong Delta.
Arrive around lunchtime at a peaceful homestay right by the riverbank. Settle in and enjoy a freshly cooked local lunch while watching boats glide along the river — a quiet introduction to Delta life.
After your ride, unwind back at the homestay. A homemade dinner is served in the evening, featuring regional specialties prepared by your hosts. You can enjoy the calm atmosphere and get a good night’s rest before the early start tomorrow.
The boat gently makes its way back to your homestay. Relax, enjoy the river views, and tuck into a well-earned lunch.
After lunch, you’ll travel back to Ho Chi Minh City — either by bus or private car depending on what you booked. Expect to arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, with plenty of great stories and photos from your time in the Mekong Delta.
The boat departs around 5:30 AM to catch the floating markets at their most active. It’s an early start, but totally worth it — this is when the markets are busiest, with boats selling fresh produce, breakfast foods, and more.
Not at all. The cycling route is flat and easy, suitable for beginners. It’s more about exploring the local area at a slow pace than doing serious exercise.
Let us know in advance — we can often offer a walking alternative or arrange a tuk-tuk or scooter ride depending on local availability.
Most homestay rooms include hot water and a private bathroom. We’ll let you know in advance if any variations apply to your booking.
Just bring your camera, a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Life jackets are provided, and seating is comfortable on the boat.
