Hue Street Food Walking Tour

Your guide will meet you at your hotel (or at the designated meeting point if you're staying outside the center). From here, your walking food tour begins — with plenty of stops to taste Hue’s most iconic dishes.

Walk across the Truong Tien Bridge, a well-known Hue landmark spanning the Perfume River. Then dive into the lively Dong Ba Market, where locals shop for everything from fresh herbs to dried shrimp. Your guide will introduce you to some local snacks and seasonal fruits, and you’ll start to see the ingredients that define Hue cuisine.

After the market, follow your guide through smaller alleys and neighborhoods to a series of street food stops. You’ll sit down to try a variety of dishes like banh beo (steamed rice cakes), banh loc (tapioca dumplings), nem lui (grilled pork on lemongrass), and either bun bo Hue or bun thit nuong (depending on your choice). Expect a full and flavorful meal by the end of this round.

Wrap up the savory part of the tour with Hue-style desserts like che (sweet soup) and a taste of me xung (sesame candy), a local specialty.

Cross back to the other side of the river and unwind with a cup of Vietnamese coffee — black or with condensed milk — at a small local café. Your guide will share a few insights into Vietnamese coffee culture and daily life in Hue.
