22:00
Your 2 day Sapa Homestay trekking tour starts the night before in Hanoi. To optimize your travel time you travel at night by sleeper train from Hanoi to Sapa. The Dream Train Express is a comfortable tourist train that offers a sleeper berth in a 4-berth cabin. Bedding is provided, and the cabin is air-conditioned and decorated in the local style of Sapa. You can also store your luggage conveniently under the berth during the journey.
SP3: Depart Hanoi – Lao Cai: (22:00 – 05:55)
If you do not like to travel by sleeper train, we can offer the following alternative options.
Travel by comfortable VIP sleeper bus from Hanoi to Sapa and arrive in Sapa by 5 AM.
If you prefer to avoid traveling at night, this is the best option for you. You will arrive in Sapa between 12 PM and 1 PM, allowing for some leisure time in the afternoon, and an extra night’s stay in Sapa.
If you require a personalized transfer, for example, from a location other than Hanoi or a private transfer, kindly reach out to us, and we will gladly make arrangements to accommodate your needs.
6:00
Upon arriving at Lao Cai train station, a minibus will be waiting to transport you to Sapa. Additionally, we offer shower facilities and luggage storage services in Sapa, so you can freshen up and securely store your belongings before enjoying breakfast.
For the 2 day Sapa homestay trekking you have 2 choices:
This route takes you to several villages in the Muong Hoa valley, inhabited by different ethnic minority groups including: Black H’mong, Red Dao and Zay. If you are interested in learning more about these hill tribes this trip is probably the trip for you. We trek along the road, along local trails and through terraced rice paddies.
Overnight in a local homestay in Ta Van village of the Zay minority.
The main appeal of this trek is the fact that it explores an area further down the valley that does not receive many visitors. The route for this homestay tour takes you deeper into the Muong Hoa Valley to villages beyond, inhabited by various ethnic minority groups.
Overnight in a local homestay in Ban Ho village of the Tay minority.
Morning
You will probably wake up to the sounds of the animals that live in the countryside. The low-hanging clouds in the mountains can often provide a beautiful sunrise.
After breakfast at the homestay you will continue with the last part of your Sapa trekking until about the beginning of the afternoon.
At the end point, a car will be waiting to take you back to Sapa. Eat lunch and take a rest.
22:00
You will be transferred to the train station for the train back to Hanoi.
Optional:
During the winter months you should bring some warmer clothes, but we recommend that you wear layers and no thick winter coats and sweaters. You naturally warm up while walking, so make sure you wear clothes that are easy to put on and take off.
For the trekking we recommend good walking shoes and no flip-flops.
