Our 3-week Vietnam tours are built for travelers who want to explore deeply and meaningfully. Based in Vietnam, our Vietnamese–Dutch team uses over ten years of local experience to design 21-day journeys that connect iconic highlights with lesser-known destinations. You’ll travel at your own pace, with private guides, authentic stays, and real insight into Vietnamese culture.
A 3-week Vietnam tour lets you experience the country in depth — from the remote mountains of the north to the beaches and river life of the south. Here’s what to know before planning your 21-day journey.
Yes. Three weeks allows you to explore the entire length of Vietnam comfortably. You can travel from north to south at a relaxed pace, visiting both major highlights and lesser-known destinations while leaving room for spontaneous local experiences along the way.
In 21 days, you can see Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City, plus scenic regions like Ha Giang, Cao Bang, or Phong Nha. You’ll also have time to relax on beaches in Phu Quoc or the central coast — making it a complete Vietnam experience.
Most travelers start in Hanoi and finish in Ho Chi Minh City, which follows Vietnam’s natural geography from cool highlands to tropical lowlands. The reverse route is also possible, especially if you want to end your trip in the peaceful north after exploring the busy south.
Highlights include the Ha Giang Loop, Ninh Binh, Halong Bay, Hue, Hoi An, the Mekong Delta, and Phu Quoc. With three weeks, you can include both iconic attractions and hidden regions, creating a balanced mix of nature, culture, and relaxation.
Expect to spend between 1,900 and 3,000 USD per person for a private 21-day Vietnam tour, depending on comfort level, destinations, and inclusions. This covers accommodation, private transport, guides, and activities. Luxury trips or extensive travel days may cost more.
The most comfortable months for a 3-week Vietnam tour are October to April, when temperatures are moderate nationwide. Summer months (May–August) bring heat and short rain showers but also lush landscapes and quieter destinations — ideal for longer, flexible trips.
Here are three popular 7-day Vietnam tours — each offering a different way to explore the country: the mountains and culture of the north, the heritage and coastline of central Vietnam, or the rivers and islands of the south.
With three weeks, you can experience nearly everything Vietnam has to offer — from the mountain passes of Ha Giang to the limestone bays of the north, the imperial cities and beaches of central Vietnam, and the vibrant markets and waterways of the south. It’s enough time to enjoy the country’s full diversity without feeling rushed.
Yes. Three weeks is the perfect duration for a complete journey through Vietnam. You can travel overland or combine trains, flights, and scenic drives to connect regions efficiently. This allows for both major highlights and slower moments — staying in villages, exploring caves, or relaxing on the beach.
A classic route starts in Hanoi and ends in Ho Chi Minh City, covering Ha Giang, Halong Bay, Ninh Binh, Hue, Hoi An, the Central Highlands or Dalat, and finally the Mekong Delta. Each itinerary is customized, so you can focus on culture, adventure, food, or photography based on your interests.
Definitely. Extended tours are ideal for exploring remote areas such as Ha Giang, Cao Bang, or Pu Luong. We specialize in combining iconic highlights with lesser-known regions, so you experience both Vietnam’s famous landmarks and its untouched countryside. Our local network ensures smooth logistics even in remote provinces.
Yes. Every 3-week itinerary can be tailored — from routes and hotels to activity choices and pacing. Some travelers prefer more rest days, others add multi-day treks or extra nights on the beach. Because we’re based in Vietnam, we can adapt plans quickly, even during your trip.
Prices typically range from USD 2,000 to 3,500 per person for a private, mid-range tour including accommodation, transport, guides, entrance fees, and many meals. Luxury itineraries with boutique stays and upgraded flights cost more. We provide transparent quotes with no hidden fees before booking.
We use carefully selected boutique hotels, lodges, and authentic homestays that reflect each region’s charm. For longer stays, you can mix comfort and authenticity — for example, spending a night in a mountain village and then relaxing at a stylish resort. Upgrades are always available upon request.
Yes, where needed. Long distances such as Hanoi–Hue or Da Nang–Ho Chi Minh City are usually connected by short domestic flights or comfortable overnight trains. All transport — from private cars to boats and local transfers — is arranged in advance for a seamless experience.
All 3-week tours are private by default, meaning your own driver and guide throughout the journey. If you’re traveling with friends or family, we can organize a small private group at better rates. We don’t operate large group tours.
To confirm your trip, we require a 30% deposit, with the balance due one month before arrival. Payment can be made securely via bank transfer or PayPal. All bookings are handled directly by Local Vietnam’s registered company in Vietnam — no agents or middlemen — ensuring full transparency and local support.
