Vietnam Travel Guide

Local Vietnam offers two secure ways to complete your booking:
We accept credit card payments through PayPal, a secure and trusted platform that offers full purchase and fraud protection. All payments go directly to our verified business PayPal account.
You can pay with all major cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, and you do not need a PayPal account — simply select the option to pay by card when opening the payment link.
To cover part of PayPal’s transaction and currency conversion costs, a 3% payment fee applies.
If you prefer to pay by credit card for a package or custom trip, please inform your Local Vietnam travel expert. They will send you a secure PayPal payment request with a personal link. Follow the simple on-screen instructions, and once the payment is completed, you’ll receive instant confirmation of your booking.
Local Vietnam is a registered travel company based in Vietnam. Under Vietnamese law, all payments must go to our official business bank account located in Vietnam. You can use international payment services such as Wise or Revolut to send money, but please note that the receiving account must always be our Vietnamese business bank account, not a personal or foreign one.
Below you’ll find all the information needed for your bank transfer. Your bank might not request every field listed here — that’s completely normal, so don’t worry if some fields don’t appear.
The account name must be entered exactly as shown. The address is less important, but include it if your bank requires it.
The SWIFT/BIC code is essential for international transfers. Once you fill it in, your bank will usually display the correct bank name automatically.
Note: Each currency must be sent to its matching account (e.g. USD → USD, EUR → EUR). Transfers sent in a different currency may be rejected by the bank. If your currency isn’t listed, select one of the available currencies (USD or EUR) when making your transfer.
If you experience any issues while making your payment, please check our FAQ section for more details and troubleshooting tips.
If you’re transferring money to Vietnam from abroad, Wise (formerly TransferWise) is one of the simplest and most affordable ways to do it. We’re not affiliated with Wise — this is just a practical tip based on experience.
Wise lets you send money in your own currency with low fees, fair exchange rates, and fast delivery to our Vietnamese business bank account. It’s fully online and works well for travelers who prefer a smooth, transparent transfer process.
How it works:
Many of our guests also use Wise while traveling in Vietnam. You can keep multiple currencies in one account, pay directly by card, and avoid the high fees of traditional banks or cash exchanges.
Every international transfer requires a SWIFT or BIC code. If your bank doesn’t show this option, it usually means the transfer type isn’t set to international. Select “International payment” and make sure the destination country is set to Vietnam. Once you do that, your bank will automatically ask for the SWIFT/BIC. Some banks only request it in later steps of the transfer process, so continue until you see it.
Yes — this usually means your transfer isn’t set to international yet. Vietnamese bank accounts don’t use IBANs or letter codes. Switch your transfer type to “International” or “Outside [your country/region]” and select Vietnam as the destination country. Then the account number will be accepted.
Vietnam doesn’t use IBAN numbers. If your bank asks for one, it’s trying to process a domestic or European transfer. Change the transfer type to “International” and select Vietnam as the destination country. Then you’ll be able to enter a standard account number and SWIFT/BIC code.
The address isn’t critical for completing the transfer. If the field doesn’t accept slashes ( / ), try using dashes ( – ) or spaces. If it’s too long, simply leave out “District 7.” The important parts are the account name, number, and SWIFT/BIC — those are what ensure the money reaches us.
Select Ho Chi Minh City. It functions as both the city and province, so this is always the correct choice.
We notify you as soon as your transfer arrives in our account. Depending on your bank and the currency, this can take between one and several business days.
Transfers typically arrive within 1–3 business days, depending on your bank and country. Transfers aren’t processed on weekends or Vietnamese national holidays.
Local Vietnam doesn’t charge any transfer fees. However, your own bank may apply fees for international or currency conversion payments. We recommend checking this with your bank before transferring.
Select one of our supported currencies (commonly USD or EUR) and choose to “send in that currency” within your bank. Do not send your local currency (like GBP or SGD) to a different currency account, as it will be rejected by the bank.
Don’t worry. We can usually identify your payment from the amount and sender’s name. It just helps us process your booking faster when the invoice number is included.
Make sure the following fields are entered exactly as shown on our page:
If you entered incorrect details (like the wrong currency or account name), our bank will automatically reject the transfer and send the money back to your account. However, your bank may deduct a return fee. Once refunded, you can resend the payment using the correct details.
Yes, this is sometimes possible if your bank has a transfer limit. Please contact your Local Vietnam travel expert first so we can note this in our system and match both payments correctly.
