Day 01 :
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City
Your journey through Vietnam begins with a warm welcome in bustling Ho Chi Minh City. After arriving at Tan Son Nhat Airport, meet your driver outside Terminal 2 at Column 10 for a smooth transfer to your hotel (check-in from 2:00 PM). In the evening, step aboard a scenic Saigon River dinner cruise. As the skyline glimmers, enjoy a delicious buffet, live music, and city views from the water. A perfect first taste of vibrant Saigon life.

Cu Chi Tunnels & Saigon Highlights
Dive into Vietnam’s wartime past with a guided visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, where you’ll explore the elaborate underground system used during the war. Learn about guerrilla tactics, hidden traps, and daily life in the tunnels. Sample traditional wartime fare and try your hand at shooting real rifles (optional, extra charge). From Saigon to Ancient Hoi An
Depart Ho Chi Minh City and take a flight north to Danang. Upon arrival, transfer to the charming riverside town of Hoi An, known for its lantern-lit streets and historic architecture. The rest of your day is free to unwind and explore the surroundings at your leisure.

Cycle through the rustic countryside of Hoi An, from the old town to Cam Kim Island. Ride past rice paddies, boatyards, and quiet pagodas before boarding a boat to Cam Thanh Village. Optional: try rowing a traditional basket boat through the lush Bay Mau coconut forests. End your journey at Tra Que vegetable village and enjoy a scenic ride back to town. Leisure Day in Hoi An

From Hoi An to Hanoi
Fly from Danang to the capital city of Hanoi. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city. The rest of the day is yours to begin exploring the dynamic blend of colonial charm and vibrant street life.

Leave the city behind and head to the coast for your overnight Lan Ha Bay cruise. Board your boutique junk boat at Cai Beo Port and sail through surreal limestone karsts. In the afternoon, kayak through hidden lagoons or relax on an untouched beach. In the evening, take part in a Vietnamese cooking demo before dining under the stars. This Lan Ha Bay cruise is a must-experience highlight of Vietnam.

Greet the day with Tai Chi on deck before heading to Viet Hai Village by boat. Cycle or ride an electric car through lush greenery and experience local life on Cat Ba Island. Return to the cruise for lunch and disembark at Cai Beo Port. From there, continue to your cozy stay in Cat Ba town with the evening free to explore or unwind.

Day 10 :
From Cat Ba to Ninh Binh
Enjoy your morning at leisure—perhaps stroll along the beach or visit a local café. After lunch, take a scenic drive to Ninh Binh. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy a peaceful evening in this stunning rural destination.

Embark on a full-day adventure through Ninh Binh. Visit Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s 10th-century capital, and enjoy a local lunch. Glide through Trang An’s mystical cave systems by boat, featured in Kong: Skull Island. Later, cycle through serene countryside before ascending nearly 500 steps to the top of Mua Cave for panoramic views of Tam Coc. Return to Hanoi, rest at a hotel, then board the night train to Lao Cai.

Arrive early in Lao Cai and transfer to Sapa. After breakfast, set off on a 15km trek through breathtaking valleys and terraced rice fields. Pass through Hmong villages like Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai, and enjoy lunch with a local family. End the day in Ta Van Village, where you'll stay in a warm, welcoming homestay with a chance to join a cooking session before dinner.

Begin your day with coffee and countryside views before trekking to Giang Ta Chai village, home to the Red Dao ethnic group. Cross a hanging bridge and explore the surrounding forests and waterfalls. Savor your final morning in Hanoi with a leisurely breakfast or one last stroll through the Old Quarter. Depending on your flight time, you may have a chance to pick up last-minute souvenirs or sip a traditional egg coffee. When it’s time, your driver will transfer you to Noi Bai International Airport for your departure.

When is the best time for this 2-week South–North Vietnam tour?
Best time: February–April and September–early October. These months offer the best overall balance across all regions: warm and pleasant in the South, comfortable sightseeing in Central Vietnam, and cool, clear weather in the North.
- May–August: Possible, but expect hotter days in the South and Central regions.
- Late October–November: Central Vietnam can see heavy rain.
- December–January: Cooler in the North but workable; the South has excellent beach weather.
Can I start the tour in reverse (North to South)?
Yes, you can run the itinerary in reverse without any problem.
Which direction is better depends on your priorities:
- Start in the North: Begin with mountains and culture.
- Start in the South: Softer cultural landing and often better for international flight schedules.
We can easily adapt the route to your preferred direction.
Are flights included?
This itinerary includes two domestic flights (Saigon–Danang and Danang–Hanoi). International flights are not included — travelers join from different countries and usually book their own. We’re happy to advise on routes if needed.
Is this a private tour or a group tour?
The overall tour is private, arranged exclusively for your group. Some day activities or transfers may naturally be shared, such as the cruise or boat services, but your itinerary, schedule, and long-distance transport are private and flexible.
Can I book a private cabin on the night train?
Yes, you can. You can upgrade to a private cabin if available, and we actually recommend this if your budget allows — it offers more comfort and privacy.
Can I upgrade or change the Lan Ha Bay cruise?
