After more than a year of intensive work, Local Vietnam has launched a completely renewed version of localvietnam.com. The new site combines a modern design with a much stronger focus on high-quality, informative travel content and a clearer structure that makes planning a trip to Vietnam easier than ever.
A Major Update in Both Design and Content
While the layout received a light modern refresh, the real transformation lies in the content. Over 500 existing travel guides have been fully rewritten and updated, and more than 1,000 new articles have been added. Each guide now provides clearer, up-to-date information about destinations, weather, transport, and travel experiences across Vietnam.
According to Marnick Schoonderwoerd, co-founder of Local Vietnam and the main writer behind most of the new content:
“We completely rebuilt the website to make it the most reliable source for traveling in Vietnam. Every article was written or rewritten from firsthand experience. I live here, I travel constantly, and I want readers to get a real, honest understanding of what to expect.”
The new guides reflect Local Vietnam’s unique mix of local expertise and international travel insight. Instead of promotional text, they aim to give travelers practical and realistic advice that sets them apart from mass-market travel websites.
Easier Navigation and Improved Tour Integration
The site’s structure has been redesigned to make it simpler to explore Vietnam by region and interest. Travelers can now browse North, Central, and South Vietnam guides, or search by theme — such as nature, culture, or local life.
The tours section has been expanded significantly. Following Local Vietnam’s decision to become both a travel agency and tour operator, the website now features Local Vietnam’s own private tours alongside trusted partner experiences. Some tours can be booked instantly online with live pricing, while tailor-made itineraries remain available on request for travelers who prefer more personalization.

The scale of this update represents one of the largest content renewals in Local Vietnam’s history. For travelers, it means clearer planning tools, more detailed destination guides, and information that reflects on-the-ground experience rather than generic travel content.
