Discover the highlights of northern Vietnam in a 5 day trip. Explore the rice fields and minority villages around Sapa and go around Ba Be Lake. For a complete local experience you stay overnight in a homestay of minorities.
In the morning you get picked up at your hotel in Hanoi. Next is a 6 hour trip to Sapa, with the changing scenery from the busy city streets, to rural areas and mountain villages. On the way there is lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon it is time to start discovering the area around Sapa, with a first stop at Tram Ton Pass. With 2035 meter high it is the highest mountain pass in Vietnam, or also referred as Heaven’s Gate.
From here you will do a small walk to visit the Silver Waterfall, before going back to Sapa town.

Explore the terraced rice fields, mountains and local minority village by a trekking tour.
This full day treking is about 13 km long and brings you to some local Black Hmong hill tribe villages and stunning countryside and nature.
In the afternoon you have lunch at a local restaurant of, before contiuing the trail back to your homestay.

Leaving Sapa to go to Ba Be Lake, part of Ba Be National Park.
This transportation takes full day with lunch on the way. During your ride you can see different landscapes of Northeastern part of Vietnam.

After breakfast you start with a full day trekking, around 17 km through the National Park. The beginning of the trek is at Coc Toc, an isolated village at the lake. Folowing the off-road trails brings you to streams, stunning rice fields, jungle and viewpoints.
You continue walking to a village were you can visit a local school, with smiling little Hmong and Yao students.
Next you continue downhill to a peak at a local hill tribe for a picnic lunch.
After lunch you conitune with walking down the valley, through villages, jungle and rice fields to return to the homestay.
Arriving at the homestay gives you time to relax or cool off with a dip in the lake and watching a beautiful sunset.

Have breakfast before going on a 3 hour boat trip around Ba Be lake to see the highlights,
There are a few stops on the way, including a small village with school and an impressive river cave, with huge stalactites and stalagmites and lots of bats.
After the boat trip you will be brought back to Hanoi, were your trips ends.
